CWTCHFEST 2019, The Glanusk Estate

I’m thrilled to announce that our 6th Wedding Festival, CWTCHFEST will be at the beautiful Glanusk Estate, Crickhowell. Its our Second Festival to be held here and I can’t wait to start sharing all our plans with you.

If you are not familiar with The Glanusk Estate, it is enormous! With 400 acres of private parkland and 800 acres of forestry, there is also 3,500 acres of lowland and hill farms. If that wasn’t enough, there is also 16,000 acres of Common Land hills and 5 miles of the River Usk. BREATHTAKING!

Many historic buildings can be found on the Estate too, including the Tower Bridge over the River Usk, ancient Celtic standing stones, the private chapel, farm buildings and stables. The Glanusk Estate is truly a beautiful location for any type of wedding.

Did you also know that the Green Man Festival takes place here every year in August too! We’re in good company :) and so excited to be back.

Toria & Hywel’s Beautiful Wedding At Coed

Oh my, drop everything and watch this wedding film!

Toria & Hywel hosted their beautiful wedding at Coed recently and commissioned Confetti & Cannons to produce a corker of a wedding film for them. They did a great job and we’re thrilled to share it with you all today.

There are so many elements to this wedding that I love. Toria, you rocked that dress! your headpiece was gorgeous and we LOVED your cool DM’s too. We also loved the delicate bouquets, ALL THE PRETTY DRESSES, the detail in the table decorations and not forgetting the abundance of glitter in the evening (got to love a glittered beard!) I so wish I was a guest!

What a great way to start married life together! Such a beautiful day for them. A huge congratulations Toria & Hywel!

lots of love from us Cwtch Girls xxx

If you’ve never heard of Coed Weddings… why not? I had the pleasure of visiting it last year with Sharron (the wedding co-ordinator) She took me on a magical tour through the grounds of this special wedding venue and its easy to see why so many fall in love with it.

If you are currently overwhelmed with the hundreds of wedding venues available in Wales and looking for something completely unique and alternative, you need to take a look at Coed Weddings.

Enjoy, Maria x

Review: The Angel Hotel, Abergavenny

Today we have a wonderful review of the beautiful Angel Hotel, Abergavenny.

Awarded AA Hotel of the Year in Wales, The Angel Hotel is something very special. I was invited to come along to view their wedding showcase a while ago and experience an overnight stay. Our boobless Bride Dawn also joined me for the evening. And what a great night we had too!

There is literally something for everyone to enjoy here. Their award winning Afternoon teas for one are legendary (great for treating mum or your bridesmaids!). But today, we’re focusing on weddings and what they can provide for you on your big day!

If you’ve yet to book your wedding venue, then I honestly think you should take a closer look at The Angel. They have a variety of packages to suit all budgets and if you are looking to get married this year… they have a great offer running too!

When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by friendly staff, all very warm and welcoming. I was then shown around the different locations they offer for weddings.

The Hotel

Inside the hotel itself, you have the Ballroom or Brecon Suite to choose from for the ceremony. Two very different and unique spaces.8788a62158f657378425a5c0a9d74941

I felt they have all the bases covered. Even with being situated on the high street, once inside, you felt like you were miles away. And if you were worried about where you can have your wedding photographs taken…don’t.  The beautiful Abergavenny Castle is a two minute walk away!

So, if you are thinking of taking a closer look, do it… we did and loved our stay!
